Private health sector is an important health care provider in many middle income countries, it is progressing towards providing universal health coverages. With the advancement in technology, Private healthcare providers are more capable to provide new equipment & machines for their patients. This is certainly lacked by the public hospitals, as they are not efficient enough.

The performance of private sector is intrinsically linked to the performance of the public sector, i.e. if the public healthcare provides enough for the patients then the value of private healthcare will be quite diminished. In the developing countries the private health care providers flourish because they provide more than what is expected by their patients, and provide more life expectancy.
